Dr. Jacob is featured in the Nova episode, Cracking Your Genetic Code, http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/body/cracking-your-genetic-code.html
The Healthcare Academy had the distinct honor of learning about genetics, DNA sequencing, and personalized medicine from Dr. Howard Jacob, the Director of the Human and Molecular Genetics Center at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
Dr. Jacob and his colleagues at MCW were the first in the world to successfully map the sequence of DNA of a child and use the information to make a diagnosis and treatment plan. This remarkable accomplishment saved the life of the 6 year old boy, was highlighted by the National Institutes of Health, and has brought Dr. Jacob international acclaim.
